Summer Activities
Action Water Sports
Action Water Sports is ready to help you make a real splash in the water, and their water craft rents right from our own Private Beach! Plus, you have the added convenience of being able to bill them directly to your room!
River Rafting
Providing guided half day and full day trips for the young at heart. Experience nature's wonderland. Qualified white water guides ensure a fun filled day on the water. Expect beauty and adventure navigating through foaming rapids and quiet flat waters. Rivers range from two to four star. You do not have to be a swimmer but you do have to be prepared to get wet.
Sierra Cloud Catamaran
Enjoy the lake during a lazy sail on the Hyatt's own catamaran. Sun yourself on the trampoline, water is only an arms length away. Contact our concierge for details. Phone: 775-832-1234 Ext. 51.
Golfing
There are several outstanding golf courses in the Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas. Each offers fine groomed greens, club house, and/or pro shop and of course, spectacular views of either the lake or towering peaks. Golfing arrangements can be made which include green fees, cart rental and club rental.
Horseback Riding
Enjoy a beautiful scenic ride through Tahoe's forest area, with spectacular scenery, fresh mountain air and experienced guides. All areas offer one and two hour rides. Weight limit of 225 lbs strictly enforced.
Self-Guided Hikes
The Flume Trail begins above Incline on the north east shore of Lake Tahoe. It is an easy hike along a deserted water flume dating back to the late 1800's. This hike offers some of the best panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. This trail is not on any map so it is very peaceful. Small streams cross the path and in spring and summer, wildflowers abound. In the fall the aspen foliage comes alive.
Erhman Mansion Guided Tour
Due to the uniqueness of this property, on this excursion one may feel that he or she has returned to the turn of the century. The grounds include a mile and three quarters of lake frontage with a number of sandy beaches and a unique untouched forest that marches right down to the water edge.
One of our favorite things on the property is the Erhman Mansion, known at the turn of the century as "the finest High Sierra summer home in Califonia". It is now a fascinating example of the opulent tradition of Tahoe's summer homes, serving as a house museum, complete with furnishings.
